Our History
The Valdes Island Conservancy was founded on the beaches of the island on the BC Day long weekend in 2007. Our goal is to conserve and protect the existing biological and cultural communities of Valdes Island and its environs.
The vision of the Conservancy is that Valdes Island be recognized for its globally-significant and locally-rare biological diversity.
